We all thought so and yes, it is bad, but there's something much worse than that. This one doesn't affect just USA, but apparently from what I read, also Australia, Canada, Japan, Morocco, New Zealand, Singapore, and South Korea have signed this.

What am I talking about, you ask? I'm talking about something called ACTA, Anti Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. You want to know what it is, then watch this.

The following is copy/pasted:

this new treaty acta ("Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement"). makes sopa look like a kitten. this one is not usa only thing United States, Australia, Canada, Japan, Morocco, New Zealand, Singapore, and South Korea have already sighned it. The Eu ,Mexico and Switserland are also involved in the talks.

This bill will be the end of sites like this and sub groups in general; Not to mention it REQUIRES YOU ISP TO MONITOR EVERYTHING YOU UPLOAD OR DOWNLOAD. and im not talking just keeping a record of it. im say everthing you send or recive will be opened looked at then sent. this is the latest offical copy of the bill.

this should scare most of you already but the surveillance does not end with the internet. the survalince includes thigns you do in real world. wanna know why all the filesharing sites are going dark or changing this is it. spread the word pls. i know this sounds a little alarmists and you may think we kiled sopa we can kill this. realise this in all likely hood this is what spawned sopa. THIS IS WORSE THEN SOPA IT WILL TAKE MORE EFFORT TO STOP THEN SOPA AND WE HAVE LESS TIME TO DO IT IN.
